LQ Radio Intro is now Available

The LQ Radio intro spot is now ready. As always, your feedback is welcome – let us know what you think. I hope to have an update on our technical issues later today. I’d like to thank Tim for his help on this. He turned around what I think is a great intro in an extremely short amount of time. Much appreciated!

Agreed about the openness of the music; it should stay open – support for open music is just as good as support for open source, and it might seem a little off to be talking about open source on a show without open music.

It sounds quite professional; and as long as when you break in to the actual broadcast, it sounds the same level of professional, it’ll be good; too many podcasts have the most fantastic intros, then drop off in to bad quality microphone. It might help to have some music behind you when you’re speaking, at least for the start of your speaking segments; helps people ease in to the show when they’re listening.

Keep us all up to date!

I think the LQ Podcasts are up to a “decent” quality and getting better with each one. Us wanting the quality to be high is one of the reasons we are considering non-Skype solutions (which will surely be more costly).

Hey, pretty professional stuff there! If the rest of the show sounds as polished
I’ll be impressed. No comments on the intro, well done to whoever produced it.

hmm… I like it, but keep the freedom piece for the podcast, so that we can tell them apart.

Well done Tim!

As I mentioned elswhere, I’d have to look into the RIAA/CARP/whatever changes if we were to use that intro long term.

Hey, I like the intro. What’s this talk about the RIAA? Did you borrow the music in the background? The intro should be original, so it will be royalty free just like Open Source.
