Couple Quick LQ Radio Updates

Just a couple quick updates.

1) We are working on a logo and it should be ready soon.
2) We are working on a killer intro spot. This should also be ready soon. If anyone has any ideas for an LQ Radio tagline, please post in this thread.
3) I’m testing out support for Technorati tags. (Like this: Linux). If there are other features you’d like to see here, let me know. We are also working on making all comments threaded as the current setup is way too messy.

Keep the feedback coming.

Jeremy,

Just got an email from Dan over on the linux link tech show who gave me this reply about the shoutcast chat recording problem and how they solved it. I dont know if this is still something you’re interested in but…

“We have it all going through a mixer before it gets to our dynebolic box
running muse. That is where the recording is done. Muse also streams
it to our icecast2 server. The mic goes into the skype box and the
audio out goes right into the mixer in.”

Hope that helps – cheers Dan.

Thanks Chris. I’ve actually chatted with Linc about this in the past. I’m going to try something a little different here, we’ll see how it works out.

Oh yeah, how about a nice plummy English accent saying:
“LQ Radio: Its a Jolly Good Show!”
