Why aren’t LQ Radio sessions released in Ogg Vorbis…or perhaps even the Speex codec?
They are. Simply replace “.mp3” with “.ogg” for any LQ Radio file and you’ll get the Ogg Vorbis file.

Let me re-phrase that last question. Why don’t the rss feeds point to the ogg files?
The RSS feeds are meant for podcatchers and mp3 players and the vast majority of these unfortunately do not support .oggs.

I was thinking about this after sending the comment. Why not add some alternative ogg rss feeds as well? Then everybody’s happy.
Ok, here’s maybe a better reformatting… How come the Torrent’s don’t point to Vorbis files?
Use ogg decoder to make ogg from mp3
ogg vorbis encoder
Simply, actually, the RSS feeds are meant for podcatchers and mp3 players and the vast majority of these unfortunately do not support .oggs.
